Product updates

Changes to InspectDay on the web and the phone app, from October 2026.

October 2026

  • On iPhone, the app’s navigation uses a native stack with the iOS 26 Liquid Glass look.

Verify Your Email (phone)

  • Resend waits out a countdown, shown as Resend in a number of seconds, before a new code can be requested.

Dashboard (phone)

  • Dashboard refreshes when you return to it.
  • All: the All tab loads on Android.
  • Demo: a demo inspection shows a Demo badge on its dashboard card.
  • Owners do not see Delete account in the menu.

Appearance (phone)

  • Choose System default, Light, or Dark.

Edit Profile (phone)

  • Edit Profile opens with your current details filled in.
  • Phone numbers take a country code from a selector, and a number that needs its country confirmed asks for it.

Inspection (phone)

  • Cancel Inspection: cancelling asks for a reason, and the reason can be edited afterwards.
  • Delete: the inspection’s menu deletes it.
  • Publish: publishing waits while changes are queued, and says how many must finish syncing.
  • Published and cancelled inspections open read-only, with a banner that says so.
  • Inspection template is incomplete: the screen says what the inspection needs.
  • Delete item: an item can be deleted from this screen, unless the inspection is read-only.

Item (phone)

  • Photos, videos, and voice notes added without a connection wait on the phone until they upload.
  • What to look for?: the button appears on an item only when the item has guidance.
  • Mark as complete is an animated switch that reads Item completed once set.
  • Record Video: findings and actions take a recorded video as well as photos.

New Inspection (phone)

  • New Inspection: when templates or property types cannot load, the picker says so and offers Try Again.

Report (phone)

  • The report’s hero image is the first actual item photo, with the property’s cover photo as the fallback.
  • On iPhone, the report’s toolbar has a Share button when the report can be shared.
  • A report cannot be viewed or shared offline, and the screen says so.

Report Summary (phone)

  • Publish: publishing waits while changes are queued, and says how many must finish syncing.

Sign up (web)

  • Create Account: the sign-up page lists what the free plan includes: unlimited inspection reports, no credit card, and a one-time code by email in place of a password.

Sign in (web)

  • Continue with Apple sits beside Continue with Google.
  • Google and Apple sign-in open in a pop-up window.

Check your email (web)

  • After Verify, the user goes on into the app and is not sent back to sign-in.

Create Your Organization (web)

Dashboard (web)

Inspections (web)

  • The Report Title column shows only on the Published tab.
  • Publish: a status change that fails keeps its dialog open and shows the error.
  • Cancel Inspection?: cancelling asks for a reason, and the reason can be edited afterwards.

Inspection details (web)

  • Published and cancelled inspections show no edit actions.

Manage Inspection (web)

  • Inspection template is incomplete: an inspection on an incomplete template shows that message in place of its sections.

Inspection Templates (web)

  • Incomplete: an incomplete template carries an Incomplete badge.
  • Demo: a demo template carries a Demo badge.

Billings (web)

  • Billings: checkout opens in a pop-up window, and the tab you started from stays where it was.
  • Billing cycle: the cycle tabs show the discount each longer cycle gives.

Users (web)

  • Users: owners and your own row cannot be deleted, and only the owner can edit the owner’s row.
  • The phone field in the user form takes a country code from a dropdown.

Company Profile (web)

  • Danger Zone: an owner can delete the organization, with its users, inspections, templates and reports, after a confirmation.

Shared report (web)

  • The report’s gallery plays videos and lists audio recordings.
  • The sidebar shows only the pages the signed-in user’s role can open.
  • Only the parent item of the current page is highlighted in the sidebar.

Header (web)

  • Android: the header links to the Android app download, with steps for installing it on the phone.
