What moves
Your templates and your own comments, rebuilt in your InspectDay account.
What does not move
A vendor's stock comment library, past reports and client records.
How
The team rebuilds your templates by hand, from your Spectora template export.

What to take out of Spectora

  • To export a template, open Templates, then My Templates, select the template, choose the three dots in the top right corner, then Export to spreadsheet, then Export Plain Text or Export HTML Text, then Download File.
  • Exporting needs the Edit Template permission, turned on under Settings, then Teams.
  • Plain text removes any HTML elements such as links, videos and images, as well as styling such as bold or italics. HTML keeps all your comments intact, including links, styling and formatting.
  • To save a report’s PDF, open the inspection, choose View under the report, then PDF, then the summary or full PDF, then download or print.
  • Photos come from the V10 web report. Each one is downloaded and saved individually.
  • Under Contacts, choose Clients or Agents, then Export Clients or Export Agents, for a CSV. Exporting needs the can manage contacts permission, enabled on the Team page.
  • Data Exports, in the dashboard menu, are available on all accounts. The Inspection Data export includes all inspection details, and the file downloads for a spreadsheet or other tools. Custom data exports need Advanced.

What InspectDay rebuilds

  • Your inspection templates, with their sections, areas and items.
  • Your own comments, as findings and recommended actions in your libraries.
