- Who requires it
- HUD requires NPMA-33 for existing property when one of four factors applies: the inspection is customary to the area, a state or local jurisdiction mandates it, there is evidence of active infestation, or the lender's discretion applies.
- Your state's form
- NPMA says the state inspection form should be used in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas. HUD may still require NPMA-33 for HUD-insured loans.
- Terms
- NPMA-33 is copyrighted. It may not be reproduced or distributed, in whole or in part, without NPMA's prior written consent.
