# NPMA-33 termite inspection report

NPMA-33 is the wood destroying insect inspection report that the National Pest Management Association publishes.

<dt>Who requires it</dt>
<dd>HUD requires NPMA-33 for existing property when one of four factors applies: the inspection is customary to the area, a state or local jurisdiction mandates it, there is evidence of active infestation, or the lender's discretion applies.</dd>

<dt>Your state's form</dt>
<dd>NPMA says the state inspection form should be used in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas. HUD may still require NPMA-33 for HUD-insured loans.</dd>
