## Where InspectDay fits better

Teams of up to three inspectors who want one monthly price, with inspections captured on the phone.

### What it does well

- Solo is $49.00 a month for one inspector and one admin. Team is $149.00 a month for three inspectors and unlimited admins.
- Inspections are unlimited on every plan, Free included. Publishing and sharing reports is not metered by plan.
- The free plan is one inspector and one template.
- The phone app runs on Android and iOS, and the web app runs in any browser.
- On the phone, photos and video can be captured, and photos annotated on Android and iOS. Voice notes are recorded on the device.
- Opened inspections stay on the phone, and changes to them are queued for sending.

### Where it is weaker

- Templates cannot be imported or exported, and they have no versioning.
- Clients are free-text fields on an inspection, and there is no client database.
- The only CSV export is the inspection list's columns.
- Reports carry no website.
- On the phone, creating an inspection, choosing a template and opening a report need a connection.
- Queued changes send only while the app is open; the phone app will not publish an inspection while its changes are waiting to send or have failed, and failed changes stay on the device until retried or discarded.
- There is no Windows app.

## Where ReportHost fits better

Inspectors who write one to eight reports a month and want to pay for each report, with no monthly fee.

### What it does well

- Every new user gets 10 free reports, with no expiration date. Students and members of InterNACHI, ASHI, CREIA, Ontario ACHI or Alberta ACHI get 15.
- Classic is $6 a report with no monthly fee. Monthly plans run from $50 a month for 10 reports to $500 a month for 1,000.
- It is a web application, with nothing to buy, download or install. It runs in a browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS.
- RH Mobile is an offline web app. Reports are started and uploaded online, and findings, comments and photos are recorded offline.
- Reports publish as HTML and PDF, and can be printed or saved from a browser.

### Where it is weaker

- Reports in a monthly plan expire at the end of the month they are bought.
- Prices are in US dollars.
- RH Mobile installs from a web page, with no App Store or Google Play install.
- The pages read describe a downloadable backup of reports, and no export of templates or client data.
